Anglers wishing to visit Cheow Lan Dam in Surrathani province fishing for Giant Snakehead and other native predatory species will be collected by a Fishsiam representative at Surrathani airport or a pre-designated pick up point.
After a short 1 hour journey to Cheow Lan Dam being driven through rich agricultural and rural setting anglers will arrive at one of Thailand's most beautiful natural dams located in the picturesque Khao Sok National Park.
Day 1
After arriving at the highly scenic Cheow Lan Dam anglers will be given refreshments and a light lunch before being equipped with all necessary tackle. Spinning Rod, Reel, Leaders and Lures.
A Fishsiam guide will be in attendance throughout your stay to offer advice and expert local knowledge.
In addition the angler will have the exclusive use of a traditional Thai fishing boat captained by a local boatman.
Using the boat the anglers will be transported to remote corners of this vast natural reservoir in order to target the highly aggressive and predatory Snakehead which resides in its depths.
After fishing until dusk the anglers will be returned to floating fishing bungalows positioned at various parts of the lake for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 2
Fishing will commence at 5.30am allowing the anglers an opportunity to further explore the many bays, inlets and sunken forests present at this highly scenic fishing destination.
After a break from fishing and the midday sun at 11.30am anglers will have a few hours’ relaxation and time to marvel at the extremely beautiful natural surroundings.
Fishing will begin again at 2.30pm with the anglers returning to the floating bungalows for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 3
On the final days angling fishing will begin at 5.30am with the anglers continuing to explore the dam.
After a short break for lunch anglers will continue fishing until 2.30pm before being returned to the airport or their next destination.
It is advised that anglers wear long sleeve shirts and caps to allow some protection from the sun and bring wet weather clothing during the wet season.
