38 Kg Giant Siamese Carp fishing in Bangkok Thailand – 11 05 2007
Chia a Singaporean angler and returning customer visited Bungsamran Lake in Bangkok. Accompanied by Boy the anglers fished a prebaited swim in a quite marginal area in search of the elusive Giant Siamese Carp. After a series of takes from catfish, Chia hooked an extremely hard fighting fish which powered off into the lake! After a fraught twenty minute battle the anglers netted a large carp estimated to weigh in the region of 37-38kgs. This was Chias first encounter with this wily and elusive species!
