Maeklong River Giant Stingray Fishing Thailand – 23 06 2008

Visiting specialist angler Heiko from Germany fished at the Maeklong River near Samut Songkran for Giant freshwater stingrays.
Fishing from a boat in the famous Area 51 stretch of the river Heiko hooked a small male Giant Freshwater Stingray estimated to weigh 30kg’s.
Some hours later the angler would hook a much larger Giant freshwater stingray which would break the leader after a grueling one hour struggle.
