Thailand carp fishing Palm Tree Lagoon – 04 01 2016
A visiting client from Europe visited Palm Tree Lagoon for a short one day fishing trip whilst staying in Bangkok.
On arrival the angler cast out two rods for carp and catfish species in addition to a third predator rod baited with fish sections.
In the early part of the day the angler landed a few Striped Catfish on the carp set up before the swim went quiet.
Soon after the predator rod burst into life as a good sized redtail Catfish powered off across the lake.
The Redtail Catfish was beaten after a short ten minute battle and estimated at 35kg.
The angler added a few more Redtail Catfish to his account before the swim fell silent once again.
After a quiet period of inactivity the carp rod was once again in action.
The fish on this occasion was a Giant siamese Carp which proceeded to tear off around the lake.
The carp was finally beaten after a fifteen minute battle and was proudly displayed for the camera.
The Giant Siamese Carp was estimated to weigh 40kg and was released after trophy shots
