Thailand Catfish fishing – 10 03 2010
Dale from the UK went fishing at Bungsamran Lake in Bangkok in search of yet more monster catfish.
After setting up on the public bank the angler cast out sliding float rigs towards fish constantly showing in the centre of the lake.
It was not long before line began to disappear from one of the reels as an unseen Catfish moved away with the bait.
The angler expertly clamped down on the reel causing the rod to arch over as a decent sized Mekong Catfish powered off across the lake.
The Mekong Catfish was landed shortly afterwards and was estimated to weigh 15kg’s before being carefully released.
Dale fished throughout the day and landed a succession of catfish with the fish seemingly queuing up to snap up his baits.
Dale landed several decent sized Mekong Catfish to an estimated 22kg’s in addition to landing Striped Catfish to an estimated 10kg’s.
At the end of the days fishing at Bungsamran Lakethe UK angler had amassed a double figure capture with Mekong Catfish to an estimated 22kg’s making the days fishing a highly productive session
